Quiet and family campsite

The Ile du Rhin campsite is located in Alsace between Colmar and Freiburg, in the heart of a nature reserve. Ideally located just 500m from a leisure park to which access is subject to a charge. The leisure center includes an indoor pool with retractable roof, a sports pool and an indoor leisure pool.

Numerous activities are organized during the day and in the evening (dances, karaoke...) and a children's club will entertain the 4-12 year-olds. The campsite's many facilities, including a multi-sports field, children's playground and ping-pong table, are sure to please children and teenagers alike.

A grocery store, a snack bar, take-away food, bread delivery upon reservation and a gourmet restaurant will be at your disposal to delight you during your vacations. WIFI access for a fee throughout the campsite.

Aquatic area 500 m from the campsite, for which guests pay (depending on the opening dates and times of the aquatic area). The Sirenia swimming pool in Vogelgrun is covered but has a retractable roof. There is a 25 x 10 m indoor sports pool and a 15 x 10 m indoor leisure pool, an indoor and outdoor paddling pool, a waterslide and a children's play area.

We stayed there the first week of August 2016 in a mobil home. We recommend the campsite mainly because of its unique location on an island in the Rhine and the Canal d'Alsace from where many nice trips can be made to Freiburg, Schwarzwald, Vosges and the wine villages in Alsace.

The management here have managed to produce a woeful campsite from such a stunning location between the Rhine and the Grand Canal d'Alsace. It's noisy with kids roaming uncontrollably, the pitches appear to be from the pre-lawnmower era and the shower facilities... well, I can't be bothered to think...
