Amazing site. Highly recommend

Just got back from an 8 night stay with my family and we have had the most amazing time and highly recommend this site.
This is the first eurocamp holiday as a family since I was a child and I was not disappointed (despite reading negative reviews on here).
We stayed in a premium lodge with a sea... view and it was gorgeous. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Nice to have home comforts such as the dishwasher.
The site is very big and as you get access to the sister site, you have access to 9 pools, 12 restaurants, two shops and access to various beaches. We felt like we did something different every day which was great for variety.
Some of the pools are crowded, but there are quieter ones to choose from. The beaches are also quite busy, but again - you can move the another beach if you’d rather it was less crowded. There are restaurants and toilet facilities on both beaches which are handy. There is also a range of water sports available. We hired two kayaks which wasn’t too pricey and the staff were lovely.
The restaurants all have slightly different menus and we couldn’t fault the food. The kids meal was also very reasonable at 12euros, which included a drink and carte d’or ice cream. The portions are big too.
Our younger two kids went to the on-site mini club on two mornings (10am until 1pm) which they enjoyed and it helped them to make friends. They did crafting and games in the sessions they went to, but there was a big timetable of events for the whole week.
Yes the campsite is hilly, but nothing our children couldn’t manage (6,8 and 10) and after a week of croissants and ice cream - this helped limit the holiday weight gain. There is also a little tractor / shuttle bus that can take you around both sites so you don’t always need to walk up the hills.
The eurocamp staff were friendly and helpful and the swap shop in the reception area was fantastic. We borrowed books, lilos, bats and balls etc.
The shops and bakery on site are very accessible. It is a little expensive but as we decided against hiring a car, the items still felt cheaper when comparing to paying for a car to allow us to get to a supermarket. We did find a Spar in the local town so whilst this was a 2 mile walk, it was worth taking an extra rucksack to stock up on some cheaper items (wine especially).
The site is 35 minutes from the Girona airport easy to travel to and located between two small towns. Platja d'Aro is a great town for shops and resturants. We found the best ice cream parlour (Gelati Dino) serving spaghetti ice cream!
