Wonderful, but you need a car

This site is amazing but there are some things to note, not a criticism but just to be helpful when you want to book. We travelled as grandparents, grandchildren ages 12 and 8 and adult son, stayed Eurocamp , ultimate 3 bed. We did not hire a car, got a transfer from Reus, took about 25 mins with Suntransfers,... no issues at all. Checked in main reception at about 6.30 pm, directed to Eurocamp and the rep took our luggage up to the mobile home. Was spacious, clean, large decking, dishwasher and we had full oven.
Air con worked well for when we were there (UK May half term)
Supermarket on site is really good as others have said I managed to do enough meals for a week, we did not try take away or restaurant as low season they never looked as though they were being used, so we decided against it.
Pool, is lovely and definitely heated, it does feel cold when you first get in, but I have been in unheated pools in the summer in Cyprus and they have felt colder, being May site was not busy so loads of sun beds. Beach is really close and sandy, waves were quite strong when we were there, and because of this I think kids preferred pool.
Here comes the buts….
May is low season , there is no entertainment at night unless week end, there are other things like table tennis, play area etc, but there is no where to really go, around a 20 min walk along coast to little village had restaurants but all but one closed due to time of year, there is also a harbour here. My advice, especially if going out of season hire a car.
Inflatables, now I read before we went they could not be in pool, when we first went to the pool on the Sunday it was fairly busy as there are many permanent pitches taken here with touring caravans so gets busier at weekends, so I was surprised to see inflatables in the pool. After three days of this I bought the kids a large ring, you guess it, soon as in pool told to remove it, same lifeguard as day before and pool, had one person in it, my grandson so cannot be an issue to numbers in pool. Next day different life guard did not seem to mind…
Toddlers, I noticed that a lot of the caravans decking had no gate, some did some didn’t, saw a lot of families with makeshift barriers across the entrance and the steps are quite steep so please request a gated decking if you will need one.
My take on this site is that it is lovely but you need a car, you would probably be ok if just travelling with pre schoolers, but as I said when we were there beach had strong waves. Also I noticed no showers that I could see on beach or toilets but so close to site does not really matter.
Site is very clean and very pretty with a nice feel to it.
